I was just wondering... this is just part of developing my character, but I suppose it could also add some interesting sub plots into the story as well. But could Frostfire International (the multinational corporation that is mentioned in Selene Frostfire's background) be introduced into Hyakuji? Possibly along the lines of the company has only recently established a name for itself in Asia, and a new office just opened somewhere in downtown Hyakuji. Nothing epic, perhaps the whole subplot can open with Selene inviting fellow students to a gala reception to celebrate the establishment of what would be Frostfire (Industries) Interational regional headquarters for Asia Pacific. Further forseeable stuff could entail the company offering part-time jobs to students, such as acting in their new (inevitably wacky) commercials to promote Frostfire products/services and such. I've had many other ideas regarding how to integrate Frostfire (Industries) International into Hyakuji, including introduction of key NPCs in relation to the Frostfire subplot and all, but I'd like to at least hear from the rest their feelings about having a mega-corporation on the scene. |

Hmmm. On the one hand, we have Mayu, the not-so-typical heiress with massive bounce, who certainly fulfills the High Queen and Boobs of Steel tropes, not to mention she's a veteran. On the other corner, Selene, the newbie with possible tsundere tendencies. If Selene can pull this off, I would imagine hostile takeovers would come about. However, they might jump the shark by making a merger. I have varying degrees of want regarding this idea. |

With that, I am also thinking of introducing HXL Group (The France Based International conglomerate that specialize in financial services whom Zhimeng's mother is the Managing Director.) to Hyakuji, I am thinking of having them opening up an Financial Planning Agency, with plans to set up a bank in Hyakuji. HXL Group is a multi-billion French global companies group origin from Shanghai but now headquartered in Paris which offers banking, insurance and asset management services. It is not a single company but a group of companies independently organized and operated according to the regulations of many different countries. Bascially, it's HQ in the Asia-pacific area is HongKong, I am planning for it to enter the Japan market. I am thinking along similar lines to Lawman's idea of Selene's Company, like offering part-time jobs to students and such, of course, nothing epic. |

:U I feel like the addition of a new big business could be really cool, or really... unnoticeable. It depends on how well it's utilized. |

The idea behind Frostfire (Industries) International is basically to have something along the lines of say, Stark Enterprises. Well, in a war, ammunition and weapons don't just spontaneously spawn on the ground like FPS games (though I know that too also depends on which games and the server settings) And that's where Frostfire Industries comes into the picture, at least, as far as their defense contractor subsidiaries go anyway; being the philanthrope he is, Stravas Frostfire would most likely desire to outfit the heroes of Hyakuji in their battle against evil, signing contracts with organizations like Neo-Police, Arcadia and such - or at the very least, monetary sponsorship. That's when the subplot can thicken - certainly the nefarious elements of Hyakuji isn't going to take the fact that the good guys have gotten themselves another backer, and one can bet on groups like Wo Shing Society, Apostles of the Stars, Hellfire Club and other characters from Hyakuji's underworld putting together something to sabotage or subvert the company's operations in Japan. (or at least, Hyakuji) The other possibility could be that Frostfire Industries aren't as squeaky clean as it claims itself to be, and part of its staff in Hyakuji could also very well be involved with secret dealings with villainous societies and such. Of course, the conflict between good and evil aside, there's also the potential for hilarity and other weirdness (generally turning everday life in Hyakuji upside-down) to develop all in good fun. The students and fair folk of Hyakuji could get drawn into some silly advertising campaign and have the school or entire city made into a comedy routine, or some new domestic products still in testing phase might end up being accidentally - incompetence on the part of the newly-hired staff, or even industrial sabotage - spirited away and sold to retail outlets (like say, chestnuts that turn the eater into a giant, pepper that makes things invisible, etc.) Or the wrong kind of people could get hired into a position within the company. For instance, can one imagine say, Konata Saitama finding work as a part-time R&D assistant in Frostfire Industries. Remember the ramen monsters during the Cupid's Day event? If she created that in a school's science lab (granted, it's far from a normal science lab), imagine what she can cook up if she gains access to a multimillion dollar industry's research facilities. Who knows, one might end up releasing a Disco Fever virus, whereby those infected will get a compulsion to dress in 70's fashion and groove like John Travolta. The adventure ideas are certainly numerous.

Well, I am not sure for other industries, but a global financial industry player needs to be multi-billion. For trillion, that is rather far fetch. But the way, I am male. |
