As soon as two duelists finds each other at a certain location, and decides to duel, they would find out that their duel disk will have two separate parts that shoots out, and combines to form a tiny robot in the middle between them, opening a field of holographic stage in between them to holographically project their duels. Its shape resembles that of the art of Morphtronic Lantron, it is the broadcast mascot that the Kinjou Corp has decided to use for now for managing the duels. The purple hue on the robot will change depending on the duel disk color of each respective player- the hue will be the combined color of the two duelists' duel disk colors.![]() Beep. Beep. "Okay.. So... How do you play this game again?" Sho said to himself as he stepped into the arena with his red rope around his neck and his casual outfit. And yeah, Sho was ignoring around him and just looked at his new Duel Disk, and yeah, this was his first tournament, so Sho was feeling excited now! "Ookay! I think I'll understand if I jump into this duel directly, right? hehe" "So.. Who's gonna go first?" Sho asked to his opponent, but then noticed that he haven't yet introduce himself, and yeah, that was a bit impolite, right? plus it seemed that his opponent was older than him, but who knows? maybe that was just his appearance that seemed to be older than Sho? hrm.. I don't know.. Anyway! "Ah! Sorry! I mean, my name is Sho, Ryotaro Sho, sir.. It's a pleasure to meet you in this duel.. hehe, So.. Should we do a Janken, then?" Sho introduced himself to his opponent as he raised his hands backward and ready for a Janken! |

Nickle was quite surprised when his duel-disk started to activate on his own. Since the tournament, he'd been able to get a hold of some technicians from the Kinjou corporation. He hadn't outright requested that they send him plans on how the duel-disk was made, mere schematics on its transformation capabilities so he could customize his a bit. They seemed fine with it seeing as they weren't showing Nickle how to make on outright. As it was, a portion of the black shoulder guard that Nickle had been wearing was now missing. There was a duelist here? More to the point the duel-disk could activate itself like that? Nickle soon spotted the playing arena nearby, with his opponent calling out for him to show himself. "Can't be helped I guess." he said to himself with a grin, as he pulled off the shoulder guard and slid it onto his wrist, watching briefly as it morphed into his duel disk. Nickle entered the arean, "Nice to meet you Sho. I'm Nickle Ryuko. Seeing as our duel-disks have such a thing for one another, I guess we can't help but tango for a bit, yeah?" Spike had wanted to see miss Chizu's boyfriend in a fight. Well, the boss didn't really fight much as far as Spike had seen but that didn't really matter. A card game wasn't a fight but Spike played this game a bit so he figured he may as well watch this one. He'd even joined a club based on it so it wasn't as if he could talk down about it. He crouched down and watched. He stared. Watching things wasn't really his style. Watching a fight he wanted to fight someone and watching this he kind of wanted to go find someone to play this game with. |

There was only one thing that the two duelist really needed to start the duel now that the field was set. Nickle put his free hand behind his back and smiled, "We go just once to decide ok?" He was holding his duel disk out in front of him as he shook his other arm behind his back for a few seconds before throwing it for and shouting: "JANKEN!" Nickle's two fingers extended as he threw Scissors! |

"heh! Alright, sir.." Sho smirked to Nickle as he was raising his hands backward ready to beat Nickle down and----- "JANKEN!!" With a confidence Sho then shouting as he was quickly move his hand forward with an open palm as he threw a paper and--- "E-eh...?" Blinking. His eyes were like someone who didn't believe at what he was seeing right now, and you know what.. paper vs scissor.. "O-okaay... I-I lose at this Janken..." A sweatdropped then appeared on Sho's head as Sho was trying to fix his duel disk, this duel disk was kinda heavy on Sho's hand so yeah.. he need to get used with that though.. or he will never can be focus on the duel! "So... It seems.. you will go first, right? or wrong?" Sho asked to Nickle, actually Sho was still really didn't know anything about this game.. He did know the rules! but still.. this was his first duel.. so~ It will be okay if he was asking such things like that, right? |

Nickle smiled at he won the Janken. It seemed his opponent wasn’t quite used to duelling just yet. Nickle smiled at Sho as his duel disk began to shuffle his deck. “Well I can choose to go second or first because I won our Janken, but I like going first, so naturally that means you’ll be going second.” He said with a wink that was a mixture of friendliness and confidence. With his deck shuffled, Nickle gently pressed a button which caused 6 cards to jut out from his deck. Seeing as he was going first, his draw phase was counted in his first hand. As he looked over his cards, he had to admit he was pretty happy with the hand he had received. Plenty of useful cards here, the only problem then was what he was going to use first. He looked over his cards, knowing that his offensive monsters would be somewhat useless due to him being unable to attack this turn. However he had a handful of defensive monsters in his deck for such occasions. He pulled out a card from his hand, laying it facedown on the field and smiling I’ll set one monster facedown and end my turn.. Since his loses against Erin and Hiro in Battle City, Nickle had spent a great deal of time reworking his deck. It wasn’t a bad deck to begin with, it was just tricky to get going at times. It was time to see if his changes paid off. |

"..er... I don't like this guy..." Sho thought to himself when his opponent--Nickle-- was winking to Sho without any reasons, but then Sho's mind and Sho's face was saying different! completely different... On his face there was a smile that even didn't give him a dislike impression! Sho was just giving Nickle a nod as Sho's eyes were scanning him fully. Scanning what will he did since Nickle was deciding to go first, and after drawing some cards and scanning it for a while, at last, the movement begun! Sho was seeing Nickle set one monster down without any Spells or Traps behind it, and seeing that Nickle was ended his turn with that, Sho was just smiling. "Alright! My turn!" Again Sho shouted as he was drawing a card! Now he has 6 cards on his hand.. Scanning it around.. scanning.. scanning.. scanning.... "Er... uh... This is.. complicated.." Sho said to himself as he was getting confused because of his own cards! He really have no idea what he should do right now.. "Okay! Then how about this! me too! I'll set 1 monster down on my field! but this time I add more two set cards behind it!!" Sho shouted to Nickle while his hand was putting the cards down on the Duel disk. And actually at first, Sho was really having this problem with the Duel Disk while he wanted to put down the cards, but then It solved when he managed how do you put it, and it thanks to this Manual Book!! yeaa!! Anyway! After Putting the cards down, Sho then once again looked up to his opponent and smirked as he was ready to show a magic card to Nickle! "Heh. I'm not finished yet!! And for the last touch of my turn! I'll active this card!" Sho shouted as he was showing a magic card and put it down to his duel disk to active the card. "CARD DESTRUCTION!!!" Again Sho shouted as he even didn't give his opponent to respond any of his movement!! he even didn't pay any attention if he himself was making a mistaken or not in this turn, He was just too excited until like this game was dragging him along in his turn! "The effect of this card is Each player discards their entire hand, then draws the same number of cards they discarded, and if there's no respond to it.. I think.. I'll end my turn, sir!" Sho stated as his hand was ready to sent all of his card to the graveyard and draw the same amount of cards that he discarded! |

Nickle was smiling, with one hand on his hip holding his cards against his body so that no one could see, his other arm raised up holding his duel disk. Sho seemed a bit uncertain of himself, perhaps he was newer to duelling that Nickle originally guessed, still Nickle wasn’t one to badger him to hurry up. "Take your time, its not like I can really go anywhere." said Nickle with a smile. He watched as the boy set a monster and two magic cards, before activating a card from his hand. It certainly wasn’t the worst card in Duel Monsters, but it certainly was one of the most annoying. "Card Destruction? Damn…" said Nickle with a small sigh, looking at his cards. "I could have synchro summoned next turn…" with a small sigh he pile his hand together and sent it to his duel disk’s graveyard. His hand had been a good one too, consisting of Dark Resonator, Wattcube, Batteryman Charger, Batteryman Fuel Cell, Batteryman Industrial Strength. He drew a new hand, 5 in total due to the amount he had discard. He looked over his new hand and needless to say Nickle seemed somewhat ok with his new hand, despite having lost 3 of his favourite monsters thanks to Card Destruction. Ryou then ended his turn, allowing Nickle to proceed, "Tricky card, but its my draw now!" he said as he then drew his next card and examined his hand. "Alright! I’ll summon Thunder King Rai-Oh in attack mode!" The blue and gold thunder type monster surged onto the field golden sparks coursing everywhere around it. "Nifty card isn’t it? Those pylons on either side of it prevent both of us from adding cards from our decks to our hands except by drawing them. Now let’s see what kinda monster you’re hiding from me. Rai-Oh! Attack his set monster with Lightning Blitz!" Golden lighting surged around Nickle’s monster, before shooting out towards Ryou’s facedown, aiming to destroy it. |

Thunder King Rai-Oh’s attack pattern, in the holographic game’s program, was to attract thunder from the sky to itself, and then blast it onto the opponent’s monster, or if there is no monsters, blast it onto the player itself. This time, the holographic monster is doing the same thing. However, as the lightning was attracted towards the monster itself, the lightning was not the ordinary lightning- it was a holographic white lightning that was more similar to Raigeki than a normal Rai-Oh attack. And, of course, for all of those people that has been watching the duel- Spike, Nickle and Ryou, it would be a surprise. It would be even more of a surprise for them after they open their eyes from the flashing light, is that they are now in a place completely different from where they were originally at. They are no longer in the amusement park. Instead, they are in a city where everything seems to be made out of holographics. ![]() The city seem, while intriguingly holographic filled, dead. There are people walking around and such, but if Nickle and co. observe closely, they are mere holographic, and all of the characters in the city are non-human. They are dueling monsters, one form or another. Among all of the holographic buildings, however, there is this one building that seems to be oddly out of place. It is a tiny, run-down shack. Unlike the holographic buildings which are extremely glamorous and beautifully perfect, this tiny shack seems to be almost on the verge of breaking. What would the newcomer of this world do?

Spike was a bit in awe of the massive holographic city... He wasn't watching something! He was doing something instead. The city had him in awe so his attention turned to the monsters. He was tempted to try to fight one of them. Could he take on a monster? He certainly wanted to think that he could. But, his eyes couldn't help but be drawn to one other spot. A run-down shack. It didn't quite fit. "I'm gonna take a look at that" Spike strode toward it with purpose. That was the kind of place he felt comfortable. Someplace a bit old and run-down. This city was too much so with his attention fixed he just wanted to see what was going on there. He would explore this decrepit shack. |

"W-wha----!?" And before Sho could react to the action nor finish his sentences suddenly a really bright lightning was distracting Sho's eyes and that making his hands going up to his face to cover his eyes. Sho didn't know if Rai-Oh's attack was like this! It was really dangerous if it was real, duh! but in the other side, It was freakin' awesome!! And so, after a while Sho was covering his eyes from the flashing light, Sho then slowly opened his eyes and---- "Whoah!! That wa---!! w-wait.. what...? I thought.. we're in the Doki Doki Land.." Sho said in confusion as his head was looking around and noticed that they were in the middle of a holographic town with huma-- ah no no.. dueling monsters were walking around the town... Sho was really have no idea what was going on in here--- "Oh.. Is this the effect of one your ca---" But then, Before Sho could finish his sentence suddenly he noticed that their card in the arena was gone! "Wait a minute! Where are our cards!? Oh crap! Did I break my own Duel Disk???" Sho said in panic as he was trying to take a look at his own Duel Disk, and suddenly noticed that it wasn't his duel disk but.. something was wrong in here, and so once again he turned his head around in silence, and found a boy with spike hair telling them that he was gonna take a look. Seeing that, Sho was just remaining silence, scanning around and started to open his mouth again as he was letting out a sigh. "Nickle.. isn't it? What do you think? Is.. this... a common thing? er.. oo..kaay... I think I'll follow that spike guy for now.. sir.. I just really have no idea what was happening in here.. plus.. Let's just continue our duel later, alright!" Sho said as he was pointing his finger to Spike and started to follow him to 'Explore the run-down shack'. |

Wait...what the hell? Nickle looked around as he suddenly realised he was no longer dueling in the Doki Doki Land amusement park, letting his eyes survey and look all around at the holographic city that now surrounded himself, his opponant and one onlooker whom he recognised as Spike, having seen him scrapping and fighting around Hyakuji at various points in time since his stay here. Nickle looked around, trying to take everything as fast as he could and make sense of it. His last attack had been an electrical one from his duel monster, but it had seemed a bit off. Now all of a sudden, here they were in this holographic town with...Duel Monster roaming around? Nickle was confused, but still it all felt familiar in a sense. He ran a business that allowed people to play in virtual reality, except if they had somehow stumbled into a virtual realm, the general feel it was giving him was that it was either still in development or unfinished. He didn't really get a chance to respond or talk to Sho or Spike about what was happening, as Spike had taken it upon himself to lead them towards a run-down shack, the only real normal looking thing and Sho had now decided to follow him. Nickle didn't follow right away, deciding to weigh out his options. His dueling gear was gone, as were his cards. Would it be wise to explore a holographic city by himself? Or would it be wiser to head towards the one thing that looked normal? Even more so, would he delude himself into going to speak to holographic duel monsters? More to the point he now felt somewhat responsible considering it was his monsters attack that did this and gotten himself and the two boys stuck here. "Could my powers have triggered something with the holograms?" If they had, what the hell was the Kinjou Corp. using for hardware and software to make it work like this? "Argh....when in unfamiliar territory I suppose there's only one logical solution..." Nickle followed the other two towards the shack, catching up while keep his eyes on the duel monsters. "Where did my Rai-Oh go anyway?" |

As the three people walk into the run-down shack, they'd notice that there is a long, long staircase to an underground facility. And when they reaches that underground facility, they would notice that there is another scenery in front of them - a long, long factory line.![]() However, when they take a closer look, they'd notice that along with the mass production of what's going on, they'd also notice another thing- the goblins are not the only ones at work. At the end of the mass production line, there is yet another procedure that absorbs the produced duel spirits into itself- ![]() And, at the end of their platform, there is also an arcade styled machine- still holographic, but seem to be functional. There is also a slot for some sort of coin in order to power up the arcade, it seems. ![]() And, at this point, if the three adventurers will take a look at their hands, they'd notice that on where they would normally wear their duel disk, they would notice that there is a wrist watch that, while does not display time, display a count of 4 stars, and the back of one yugioh card. And, for some odd reason, the wrist watch proceeds to shows a few options on a holographic plane for the three adventurers to choose from. However, other options seem to not be available, as it seem that they are immobilized in place- as if they are not in control of their own body. What will they do now?

As Nickle walked with the two boys down to the factory line, he couldn't help but keep wondering how his duel disk had vanished and been replaced with the black watch he was now currently wearing. It was the same colour has his duel disk, so perhaps it had somehow morphed itself? Or was this just some kind of hologram being projected with his preference in colour? Still it was really only an after-thought as he walked down the long set of stairs, only to come and find himself standing and observing several goblins hard at work at creating...duel spirits? They didn't look particularily impressive...not ones that Nickle would personally place into his deck. However, there was something that DID catch Nickle's eye in a big way at the end of the production line. He recognised it almost immediately, pausing only to let him realise that he was watching Portable Battery Pack hard at work charing up a Batteryman duel spirit! "No way! I gotta get over there!" said Nickle as he tried to move to the Battery Pack, except now finding himself incapable of moving. He noticed his watch now, showing a count of 4 stars and several other options. Nickle stopped struggling for a moment. Holographic world. Previously dueling. Monsters from a game everywhere. Unable to progress as he wanted and now suddenly alerted of 4 star points of some kind? It seemed insane to believe that one could be limited by such video-game type rules, but Nickle had programmed such rules himself into his own VR Pods at the Arcade. He selected one of the stars and spoke up, "Alright alright, I'll spend one of these stars, but please just let me go see that Battery Pack!" An electromancer and a duel spirit power charging station. What could happen....
