Erin waited in the town square, sitting on a bench, with her legs swaying back and forth. She was still in the same stuff she had been wearing on the day Hyakuji went poof - a long-sleeved shirt with white and black stripes with a pink skirt. She had been going for warmth over colors with the top, since she almost never wore things with stripes. She wasn't affected by a cold wind, but wind chill was only part of a cold day. "I really hope Selene knows a good place to get some clothes..." Moreover, John had said he was looking for Selene last time she saw him. Maybe he'll show up...? Erin thought absentmindedly. Garrel too, although she seemed to have a lot of her own business to go through. She was looking for her sister... Erin remembered, Garrel said she looked like me, so...if I see her, maybe I'll recognize her. Looking up at the sky, she thought, She probably wouldn't be in Traverse Town, though, otherwise Garrel would have found her already. The girl came out of her thoughts to the town around her. Selene should be here soon. She thought, I've gotta look out for her. I'll look silly if I don't notice she's here until she's right in front of me. |

"Let's see..." Selene said to herself as she made her way through a busy town square, weaving her way through the milling throngs. Despite this unprecedented multiversal crisis and the fact that most of the people here are probably refugees from worlds lost to the Heartless, life still goes on. Here and there are shops opened for business ranging from eateries to watchmakers, children played in the park, and street vendors hawked their wares. Where is Erin? The Briton thought, looking around until she caught sight of the aeromancer sitting on a nearby bench, her legs swinging idly, still dressed in the same set of clothing Selene saw her in during their meeting in the hotel room. She probably didn't have a spare set of clothing... Selene thought; but then again, the pink blouse and red skirt she was currently wearing shortly after arriving in Traverse Town were spare clothes borrowed from Lavender - otherwise she'd still be in her Hyakuji school uniform at this point. "Hi Erin!" Selene called out cheerfully, waving her right hand above her head as she walked over to Erin's side, leaning against the back of the bench. "So... I suppose waiting for John to show up would be in order?" While Selene knew for one that John survived the Hyakuji catastrophe due to his name showing up in the meeting notice for some reason he didn't show up for the actual meeting at the hotel. For one, Selene certainly found that she would have a lot to catch up on with her friend, and secondly, after all the talk about reorganizing and retaking Hyakuji... now what the girls need is some time off! |

Erin's eyes brightened as she sat up suddenly. "Selene!" She gave her friend a short hug. This would be her first night in Traverse Town that she hadn't spent worrying about Hyakuji, so the girl was understandably excited. "John said he had something to do so he couldn't be at the meeting, but he did say he was looking for you and he should be back by now..." Erin remembered, "So I'm sure he'll be here. Oh, also!" Erin pointed to her own current outfit. "Please tell me you know a place to get some clothes. I've been wearing this for like half a week." |

'This sucks...' Having no idea how to transport between the different worlds (or how he even managed to accomplish such a feat and wind up back where he started), John's head was beginning to spin a little. Having worn the same dress shirt, tie, and dress pants/shoes combination for a few days with no method of shower or shave, John was beginning to look like a homeless man more and more. The stubble on his face more apparent and his hair hanging straight down over his eyes, John had to shake his head every so often so as to not lose vision. Up in the distance though, John recognized two figures. The first figure was Erin, on time for the so called meeting and looking at least somewhat enthused. The second figure, and more to John's surprise, was none other than Selene Frostfire. She actually managed to look...cleaner, almost like the crossover between worlds hadn't affected her at all. This was good though, it meant that they were doing okay. "Uhh...hey." John said when he was finally within ear-shot of the two girls, his voice a little raspier from an earlier battle. Not really sure what else to say, John merely turned towards Selene and said, "Long time no see..." Edited by Kobayashi, Oct 12 2009, 02:08 PM.

Time to take a rest and shop around. I mean, this just kept getting crazier and crazier after I came to this school. Well, at least this seems to be a safe town to walk around. Why does such thing have to happen? Where the hell did those Heartless came from? And are doing such horrible things? Ah! My head hurts just thinking about it! Oh well, let the clear and gentle night heal my heart. What a silence and peaceful night. Well, at least there's no Heartless, as well as other crazy entities like Cute Shojo Witches, Electromancer and Aeromancer around. Yeah, just a nice, quiet stroll in the night, without any crazy things, yeah! A normal night in the middle of such madness, oh well, just let me escape reality a bit, seeing how unrealistic reality had just became. Ah! Peace. Wait, there seems to be someone over there. Hey! It's Selene! "Selene! How are you! Nice to see you here." I yelled as I run towards my good friends, this is going to be one enjoyable night.

"Selene!" Erin's eyes brightened up as Selene approached, standing up from the bench to give the redheaded Briton a short hug. "John said he had something to do so he couldn't be at the meeting, but he did say he was looking for you and he should be back by now... So I'm sure he'll be here." She recalled. Now that explains his absence. Erin pointed to her outfit before asking, "Please tell me you know a place to get some clothes. I've been wearing this for like half a week." "You know, I hadn't really familiarized myself with Traverse Town yet, so your guess is probably as good as mine," Selene replied sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head. "But..." the English girl stood straight as if on attention, head tilted gently upwards. "I think I did pass by a few apparel stores on my way here, so I think we could take a look over there to see if anything catches our fancy," Selene smiled as she relaxed her stance, resting her right hand on her hip. "Uhh...hey." A familiar voice called out - a little raspy sounding, but definitely recognizable, and Selene turned her head in the direction of the voice, before bringing the rest of her body around to face the source. There was no mistaking who it was, even if she didn't immediately recognize him due to his unkempt hair, overgrown stubble and disheveled clothing. But it was John Ramsey all right. "Long time no see..." "John!" The corporate heiress exclaimed happily as she bounded over to his side, hugging him briefly before stepping back and looking at Erin. "Well, that makes the three of us now," the Briton beamed. "Selene! How are you! Nice to see you here." Kyonka called out as she came running up to the trio. Selene smiled at the sight of yet another one of her friends from Hyakuji. "My sentiments too, Kyonka-chan," Selene replied, nodding sagely. And now there were four. "Alright!" Erin said victoriously, "There are four of us now, then, and John arrived after all!" Inwardly, Erin wondered if John would feel odd going shopping with three girls, but she figured he would be fine. "What place should we visit first? We gotta stay in the First District though, heartless and all." In a relaxed posture, she continued, "I'm voting clothing store, I've been looking forward to an outfit change for days. Neo Arcadia uniform doesn't count."

"Well, I am new here, so I will just follow you guys where ever you go." Oh well, the reason I am out here is just to relax anyway. With all these crazy things happening, a fragile girl like me really need a break. Ah... when can all these end and we go back to school as normal? |

As quickly as Selene moved to his side and hugged him, John felt a simultaneous jolt of both pain and pleasure. The pain came from a previous fight he had with a Big, Bad Heartless not too long ago with...Eijiro, the guy from that other world that was similar to Hyakuji. The pleasure factor came from feeling like he finally belonged somewhere when she wrapped her arms around him, accepting him despite his odor and appearance. Both Erin and the newcomer, who apparently went by the name 'Kyonka,' were on the lookout for a change of clothing. Deciding it was also possibly a good idea for him (as well as a shower), John decided to tag along. "This should be fun." John spoke, mostly to himself, as he shoved his hands in his pockets and waited for either Selene or Erin to lead the group to some sort of outlet store. John's eyes scanned the surrounding area just in case a heartless presence was nearby...paranoia? Possibly. Having fought them on a separate occasion, John knew what a pain in the ass they were to destroy first hand. Otherwise, the trip was all based on whatever the small group could find. |

"Alright!" Erin whooped triumphantly. "There are four of us now, then, and John arrived after all!" Selene nodded at Erin's joyous statement before gesturing towards Kyonka. "Erin, John, I would like to introduce to you a friend of mine, also from Hyakuji. This is Kamu Suzumiya. But you may call her Kyonka," the Briton gave Kyonka a hearty pat on the shoulder. "What place should we visit first? We gotta stay in the First District though, heartless and all." Erin wondered, standing in a relaxed posture. "I'm voting clothing store, I've been looking forward to an outfit change for days. Neo Arcadia uniform doesn't count." "I'm with you on that," Selene replied with a smile before looking in Kyonka and John's direction, wondering what the other two have in mind. |

Turning around to point drammatically, the girl cried, "Alright! Apparel stores it is~!" Of course, she didn't know where they were. "Er, Selene. You said you passed by them before, right?" Erin asked, "Maybe you should lead the way." |

Keeping his hands gripped in his pockets, he felt only two things: his wallet and his cell phone. The cell phone was nothing short of useless in between worlds and somewhat broken anyways, while the wallet remained intact with the money that was seemingly useless here anyways. John was able to use it before to identify himself, but aside from that both seemed kind of useless. John's eyes shifted between the other members of the group now, all Hyakuji survivors, and felt a little more at ease. Even if the heartless reached here (which he highly doubted), there was safety in numbers at least. Besides, John knew he could at least count on Selene in a fight. |

"Kyonka huh? Nice to meet you." Erin greeted in her usual amiable fashion. "A friend of Selene's is a friend of mine!" The Briton nodded at Erin's statement. "Nice to meet you, Kyonka. Don't mind my appearance, it's just been really...hectic so far." John addressed Selene's friend. Now that everyone was properly introduced Selene felt that now would be as good a time as any to proceed with their plans for the evening. "Alright! Apparel stores it is~!" Erin pointed dramatically following a flashy turnabout. There was a brief moment of silence before the aeromancer spoke again. "Er, Selene. You said you passed by them before, right?" Erin asked. "Maybe you should lead the way." "Sure thing!" Selene replied enthusiastically. "Right this way!" The Briton beckoned with her right hand while pointing to a nearby row of stores with her left index finger. |

Kyonka? Oh great, my dear friend Selene, you had to tell them nick name? Oh well, just like everyone else excepted the maidens in Gensokyo. Even my own family members calls me Kyonka, including Haruhi-Okasan, who named me. Oh well, it seems that it's my fate to be my the other mother's successor, she was called Kyonko by everyone until even she herself forgot her real name. Oh well, since I am a genetic clone of her, this really is just my fate. Ah... too bad. Anyway, on to the fun part, at least to day it's a nice day. And there are no stupid things like Cute Shojo Witches, Electromancers and Aeromancers around. What a peaceful and quiet night. I think I am really going to enjoy myself tonight. "Right behind you" I followed my friend to the Apparel stores. |

"Target sighted!" Following Selene, Erin soon saw the apparel stores in question. She wasn't planning on buying a lot of clothes. She didn't have a permanent place of residence as it was, and wanted to keep the total amount of her possessions to a minimum. She figured it would make it easier when she inevitably had to move. I'll just get about a week's worth of clothes to cycle through. The girl thought, I'm pretty sure the hotel has a place to do laundry in. "You know, John is with us..." Erin wondered out loud, "Do you think we should all go to the girl's clothing sections and then swing over to the boy's section on the way out, or split up and meet up again at the entrance?" |
