Nobody was quite sure what had happened. One minute you were in some World about to enter a Crossgate and travel back to Traverse Town. However, something went terribly amiss. With a crackle of odd energy while entering the Crossgate you found yourself appearing suddenly on a street corner, no Crossgate in sight, in a lightly fog-laden America town; something had gone terribly wrong. This wasn't Traverse Town. This wasn't Hyakuji either. Where had the ten people now assembled in a small group arrived? The few cars roaming the early morning streets, obviously people going into start their daily grind at work, seemed to match with the modern day time of Hyakuji's own World and nothing particularly seemed out of place. However, one thing was drastically out of place to each of the ten people that had just arrived. Their powers were gone. Any special equipment or weapons they'd had on them were gone as well. Any strain, any attempt to forcefully make use of their powers were granted with nothing; they'd simply stopped working as if someone had flicked a switch off. However, luckily, before the maddness of such a sitaution in such an unfamiliar surrounding could set in there was at least a sole saving grace. Sitting at this street corner was a small bench for those awaiting the local bus that hit several important locations in the city. Sitting upon this bench, dressed as he usually was were he teaching a class, was none other than Hiro Tsukasa. Tilting his head slowly, noticing a few in the suddenly appearing group, a smirk rose to Hiro's face as he called out to them, "Well... this is a very unique suprise..." Erin looked around in fear. "This isn't Traverse Town..." Moreover, her Neo Arcadia outfit was gone. She was back in the clothes she had been wearing since Hyakuji...dissapeared. "I was going to the mall with Selene for some new clothes...why did I end up here...?" She tried to resummon the nice Arcadia clothes, but it didn't work. "Odd..." She shivered a bit. The fog clinging to her was making her wet and cold. Usually her response to this was just to create a slight breeze circling around herself that blew the fog away from her...but it wouldn't work. "This is..." She took a breath just to confirm that there was in fact air in her environment. Maybe the air here is of a different molecular composition than in other worlds...? Erin wondered, No, it's still breathable...and conceptually unvaried from any other world I've been in... But then she saw the man at the bench. "Hiro!!" Erin instantly bolted towards him, giving him a giant glomp hug. |

Lee stepped out onto what seemed like a foggy street corner, with others who looked quite confused. "Wha? Where am I now?" Lee asked, he then noticed it. He could recognize a few of the people standing around him.... and he wasn't a male at the moment. "Crap." Lee thought to himself. Then he just realized, granted he had only been back a little while, no one would probably recognize him... or he hoped they wouldn't. Lee just walked up to the bench, and as inconspicuously as possible, sat down, not talking to anyone. Lee started to think to himself. He really didn't know where he was going to begin with, but this place didn't seem to fit. At least he could usually tell were he was headed, but this was right out of nowhere. At least nothing is attacking him at the moment. If he was lucky thats how it would stay. With a group of students from the school, at least he could feel safer. His first priority, or course, would be to find some warm water, and get out of this female body. But in this unfamiliar place, that might take some time.

A Rider Kick with God's name on it.

The first thing that Hajime noted was amiss was that instead of popping up in the Traverse Station, he found himself in a dark alleyway with walls as tall as his eyes can see: he recalled there weren’t any tall buildings in Traverse Town save for the BOARD HQ. Then again, he was basing that comparison on the First District; he has yet to explore the other two districts himself. Other than that, Hajime couldn’t find anything weird other than seemingly ended up in the wrong place, which he attributed cheerfully as just the Crossgate acting funny and it wouldn’t be the first time… hopefully. With a sigh and a smile on his face, he readjusted his backpack currently filled with grocery and whatever else he bought and brought with him from Niwa that Traverse Town doesn’t have; it was one of the other urban place where he can find some good ol’ black pepper which he bought three bottle of them, and walks towards the exit… …only to find himself in unfamiliar environment again. This certainly doesn’t seem like any of the places he’s been to as far as he can remember, his amnesia of his past before all this aside. “Huh, wonder where is this place?” Hajime asked out aloud. “Doesn’t seem to be like any of the world I’ve been to so far. It’s like Niwa but it’s not.” Which would be funny, as he had only just left Niwa after all. Deciding that it was best for him to ask someone where he is, he looks around and found so far one man sitting on a bench. Seeing as that he’s only person around he can ask, Hajime went over to him and was about to ask him a question when out of nowhere someone came and glomps him. Wherever he is, this seems to be one happy place if this was anything to go by for Hajime. "Uhm, excuse me, where is this place?" Hajime asked anyway, glomped or not glomped. |

More than a Ghost on a Shipwreck
|
It was all like normal. He had done it a few times. Moving from world to world was a great feeling. The rush of wind, and the power of not being in control was a rush that Danny had grown fond of. Since he had woken up he had always said that the best way to live is to have died, everything feels so much more real when you didn’t get to feel it for a while. That was when he felt different though. He usually closed his eyes so that his sense of touch was heightened, but this time it felt different. He opened his eyes and felt the cold fog around him, and then before he knew it he was somewhere he had never been before. He didn’t feel that burning heat inside of himself that told him that he had the sun’s energy. He also didn’t feel tired due to the lack of it. He felt normal. This was something he hadn’t felt since he was in second grade. Most people would be worried, or they would probably try to seek answers, but to Danny something else happened completely. He was unaware of why Eiji had resurrected him, but for the most part he figured it was due to his powers. He didn’t have to try to use his powers. He just knew. If his theory or resurrection were correct then maybe he would be freed, for he had no purpose anymore to a powerful organization. For a moment he didn’t ask questions. He had gotten something that he wanted. Normality was something out of the ordinary for him. It felt good. He looked around him and saw that most of the people were going about their business. He loved it. There wasn’t anything crazy going on. In twenty-five or so years he had seen so much, and for a moment there was nothing. He was at peace. Then he saw Hiro. This was not a bad thing. He had heard that people weren’t able to locate him, and for some reason the sight of him was good. It had been nearly five years since he had seen the man. That had been a long time. At first he just stood there as people walked over to the man. Danny wondered if Hiro would even notice him, or even remember him for that matter. He worked for the man, and he thought that they had been friends, but time causes memories to fade. He didn’t need to see Hiro, and so he stood back and waited for everyone else to surround him. These were people that might need him, but for the moment Danny was content. He was certainly excited to see where this world would take him, but for that moment he was content. He would follow in time. Like everyone who had ever met Hiro, he would follow the man in time. |

Adrianna Wong had seen seen the wonders of being able to manifest one's Ki into the physical realm, a powerhouse in the demon realm about to savagely devour the souls of her parents, but instead simply taking it on and catching that same demon by surprise in an attack, the sealing of that very same demon into her and even witnessed the destruction of the Hyakujian Realm. But, the arrival to this realm that seemed should have seemed the rebirth of her world seemed a rather melancholy site at seeing the cars off to work, she had always found a dislike for the 'smucks' as one of her favorite movies, Goodfellas had referred to the daily Nine to Five workers who toil away there lives for nothing but wee small paycheck sticking to the mundane. She looked down to her clothing, she was in her Burgundy Red dress with the lovely butterfly patterns on it's left side from top to bottom and the slit opening on the right side going up to her hip, her sunglasses still between her chest, and her pumps still on. She was not in her Neo Arcadia gear either, it was rather odd. But another odd discrepancy, was there was no...wait THERE WAS NO BACKSEAT "DRIVING" FROM LILITH?! "Lilith? Lilith are you there? HEY LILITH ANSWER ME YOU STUPID SLU*** W****?!" Ada called out in her mind but no response even from the latter surely meaning something happened, "Just what exactly is going on?...Could this place hold some nullifying abilities or could it be too sacred and holy for her..." Ada whispered under her breath when she heard a man say it was a unique surprise in a Bus Stop, to be greeted by a new person every second with one even glomping him, she walked over not knowing what exactly was going on. She walked over with a friendly smile to them, "Hello, could you do me the favor of telling me where I am?" Edited by Zero, Oct 9 2009, 11:36 PM.

Early Worm Catches the Bird?

Erin didn't use his powers constantly so he didn't really notice that he'd lost them. He felt a bit strange but he didn't know why. He looked around. "Did I go through the gate wrong or something?" He turned around. There was no gate. "Huh..." That was... probably very bad. He looked through the fog. "What's with all the fog..." Well this was a nice light fog. That was just pleasant compared to other things. And it was just the kind that was supposed to show up in the morning. It was normal. He hadn't really appreciated normal enough in the past. He'd always gone off on adventures with this uncle then he'd been in Hyakuji. Then he heard Hiro. "Teach?" He said lightly. Hiro had gone missing and with all the worlds it wouldn't really be a surprise to find another Hiro but he seemed like he recognized them. The female Erin's voice came out calling to Hiro as she went at him. A smirk crossed his face. Erin didn't rush over there. He was close enough already. There was no need. Well... Maybe he should go over. Everyone else was. He couldn't help but close in on the Hiro. He didn't rush but he was walking rather quickly. |

What the heck just happened? Meglumar turned his head to the left, and then the right. What in the name of Zeras' armor of champions just happened? He and Star were about to use a transportation device thing to get somewhere, when all of a sudden, they were...here. Why did this keep happening to them? And him? Did dimensional portals just have some vendetta against them? Did they offend one in a previous incarnation? He looked to Star with a puzzled look. She was...They were...were they back in her world?! He looked left and right again. This was similar, but not it. None of the skyline was familiar. The buildings were foreign to him, but everything looked like Star's homeworld. Did they really, truly make it back? He turned to see the others. They all looked quite perplexed too. Stranger still was that his sword was missing. His clothing made it through, but his blade? Gone. This was a tad bit worrying. The blade was all he had, really, and his father's. And his father's father's. And so on. "...What is going on?" He simply muttered as he listened to the others talk amongst themselves Others had asked that question, after all. And it seemed this strange person, whom one person called a 'Hero,' might know something. |

Star shook her head to clear it from the disorientation she felt after stepping through the Crossgate. She felt like something was missing for some reason, as if she had walked out of the house without a coat she was sure she had put on earlier. She looked around her. The world was slightly foggy, and it seemed to have a bit more of a modern setting then Florencia. Great! Finally something she could relate to. Traverse Town seemed to be a lot like her own world. People passed by, speaking English, and once or twice, she caught a glimpse of a familiar flag with fifty stars and red and white stripes. ...Wait. Wait just one second... Traverse Town was in America?!? Well, that couldn't be right. The people that had told her about it said that Traverse Town was in a world all of its own and was somewhat Victorian, which meant one thing. The Crossgate had messed up just like Kara's distance Gates had. Fantastic. Gates officially hated them. At least Meglumar was still around. "No clue," she admitted to Meglumar. "But I'm pretty sure this isn't Traverse Town. I think we're in America." She looked around and saw most of the other people in the area walking over to one guy on the bus stop. She didn't know him, but the others obviously seemed to trust him, so he seemed like the best place to go. "Let's go over to them," she said, walking over to Hiro and the others. She was halfway there when she realized what felt so odd. It was daytime. The sun was shining overhead. Light was streaming through the fog, and Star felt nothing. Nothing at all. Her eyes widened and she stopped in her tracks just a few inches from Hiro. Star raised a hand slowly and tried to call light to her fingers. Nothing, not even a spark. "My powers..." she said, suddenly. "My powers are gone." |

Miyuki looked around at the fog around her. It felt strange. Either this was not normal fog or something had happened to her. The last thing she remembered was stepping through the crossgates to Traverse Town, but there where no crossgates in sight. How odd... She focused her attention on the fog. Something was missing. The fog... It didn't fell the same. Fog is a cloud. Clouds are made out of water vapor. Water vapor is the gaseous form of water. This did not feel like water. She could not control it. It did not give her the feeling of safety it usually does. Then it hit her. This was normal water. She couldn't control it. She no longer had her powers. Miyuki started to panic. Oh no! What am I supposed to do?!? Is this temporary or permanent? If this is temporary, why is this happening? If this is permanent, how am I supposed to try to revive Shibamura? And... Where am I? She tried to calm down. Her efforts were fruitless. She had no clue where she was, she had no powers, and everywhere around her people where speaking a language she didn't even understand. Once or twice she would see a strange machine on wheels and that scared her a bit. She looked around more closely. There was a group of people standing around a bench. They seemed to look as confused as she was. She carefully moved towards the group of people. Edited by Miyukihime, Oct 10 2009, 01:03 AM.

Hooray for Frustration!
|
Eh? "Hehhhh...? I'm blind." Ein said, looking around him. He still had his blindfolds on, however he could no longer see the color of people's aura. He couldn't see anything for that matter with the blindfolds on. He also couldn't sense anything anymore. Seeing as he finally didn't have a choice, Ein removed his blindfolds and squinted a bit, his eyes not used to seeing any real light for a good few months. Finally, Ein looked around him a bit, allowing his eyes to adjust. He was...Most definitely not on Florencia anymore. There were...THINGS zooming around a road of...Something. "....Could his be magic? Nono, this is science, not magic. I don't know science." Ein said, looking at the metal machines zooming about on some form of black road with stripes painted on. It was all so...New and perplexing. It was also quite foggy, and the air...Smelled bad. It wasn't at all like Florencia, nor was this where he intended to go by stepping through that rift he managed to create. Ein reached into his bag, trying to open up another rift by moving aside the seams of reality once again...And only succeeded moving around seams of his bag. "Uh oh." He said simply looking around. He was surrounded by other people, and compared to them, his clothes were quite strange. Nobody was wearing a cloak or the traveling clothes he was in...Which suggested they didn't travel as much as he had. They were also quite...Different from his. He couldn't identify the materials they were made out of. "Oooooooohhhhhh. Which kingdom am I in this time?!" Ein said with the excited tone of a child despite the fact that he was over 50. Luckily he still kept his slowed age since that was genetic and he was also part human so he didn't stand out much either. |

Shocking

Namami had had a rather eventful day, and had decided to finally make her way to Traverse Town to have a well needed sleep. She lifted Yami's card from her pocket, frowning and stroking her fingers down it. 'I love you, Namami...' The girl shook her head hard, squeezed her eyes shut, and pursed her lips. She couldn't think about him, she couldn't! Cause... if she did... If she let herself think about him again... You'll go back to him, won't you, stupid girl? That voice again. Namami shut her eyes tight and gripped the card tighter, focusing all of her thoughts and energy on Traverse Town. On sleep... Sleep... There was a rush as she stepped through the dark portal, thinking only about her bed and sleeping.. But suddenly, she was facing a large crowd of children around her age, and... "Hiro!" She cried out, her eyes wide and her body stiff with surprise. Hadn't Yami said he was dead? Gone? Kaput? And yet... Here he was! "H-Hiro I thought... I thought you were dead! Ya-.." She trailed off, biting her lip. She didn't want to talk about the vampire in front of all of these students... she didn't want to draw attention to the little monkey on her back. Pursing her lips instead, Namami padded quickly over to Hiro, wanting to hug him much like the other girl had but... Well. She didn't know him that well. And as she looked around, she realized she didn't know anyone here at all. Falling silent, she shrunk back and gripped her skirt with her fingers, waiting her turn to be acknowledged. |

"Ooof!" Hiro exclaimed as one of his former students tackle-hugged him. Laughing a little he shifted her off to stand before the bench just as he noticed the sudden group that had amassed in the general area. It was quite the surprise. Shaking his head a little Hiro Tsukasa rose to his feet and motioned for those still straggling back to come closer. "This is a surprise," Hiro laughed a little, "I'm not familiar with all of you but since we all share the same problem I'll clue you all in just the same." Hiro frowned slightly. He wasn't happy about seeing this many people here and having to tell them all the same thing he'd learned first hand days ago, "World of Real. That's what they call this world. It's a world that is set pretty 'modern day' if you will. However, for some reason no special abilities or super powers can exist here." "I assume most of you took a Crossgate, like I did, and ended up here instead," Hiro continued with a soft sigh of annoyance, "I'm not sure what went wrong but thus far I've not found any Crossgates here. There's also no Heartless presence and the majority of people are unaware of the existence of other worlds. So... you might want to tone down what you speak of in public. It's October 31st in their time so you various outfits should be fine despite not being appropriate... we can always pass blame off on Halloween." Letting out another sigh Hiro began to pace a little as if trying to think of where to continue with his explination, "Sorry to be long winded, but I've been here a few days longer than all of you; it was getting lonely. However, I did manage to find a single contact here that accepted the concept of other worlds and has been trying to help me find a way out of this world. Actually, here he is now... I was waiting for him..." Hiro let his words trail off as he nodded towards the bus that had just pulled up. "Arkham Public Transportation" was emblazoned across the side and as the bus doors opened a thin attractive young man dressed in formal attire with a white lab coat draped over it existed the bus and eyed the small crowd surrounding Hiro with a cautious stare. "Everyone," Hiro began, "This is-" ![]() However the man cut Hiro's introduction off granting his own as he awkwardly held out a hand to the nearest person for them to shake as he spoke in a quick factual tone, "Doctor Herbert West, professor at the Mistkatonic University Medical School." |

"Powers can't exist here...?" Erin repeated, taking it all in. That certainly wasn't a good thing. The means they used to travel between worlds were inherently supernatural, which meant they too might not exist here. That would mean they would be stuck here for a while. Wait a minute... "Maybe it's something to do with this world's Counter Force...?" She remembered having had a lesson on Counter Force theory in a Supernatural Studies class. "Like, if this world's Counter Force had a stricter adherence to natural laws, supernatural things would be blocked..." Erin continued her hypothesis, "If that's the case, something like a Reality Marble would free us from that restriction, since they override that stuff." She put a finger to her chin, "But at the same time, I'm not sure whether or not you'd be able to cast one in the first place...Reality Marbles are 'always on' inside of the caster, and casting them is just imposing them onto the outside world. But in this place, the Reality Marble inside of the caster might itself be suppressed...And moreover, it would have to be some kind of partial Reality Marble to free us from the Counter Force and still allow us to do inter-world travel, since true Reality Marbles are by definition like universes within themselves, in which other worlds wouldn't exist." "In any case, if people from this world haven't heard of the existence of other worlds, that alone makes it unlikely that travel back and forth to this world has been done before...kind of like the 'if we were going to invent time travel we would be seeing people from the future' argume-e-e-eeeh!?" Erin's theorizing was interrupted as her hand was grabbed by some crazy guy. "Doctor Herbert West, professor at the Mistkatonic University Medical School." Erin awkwardly shook the man's hand. "E-er...nice to meet you." |

"Interesting, no one has powers here.... wait a moment... if none has any abilities... or anything...." Lee looked down at himself, and without willing, said "Crap!" Rather loudly. He quickly realized that he had almost shouted, and blushed a bit looking around at the people standing pretty much right beside him. Hopefully no one would comment, but that seemed quite doubtful. He could hope right? "Who is this now? Some doctor from a university?" He glanced at the bus before it started to drive away. "Arkham... is that where we are right now? At least I have some sort of name to this place." Lee was trying to piece things together in his head, he started to tune out most of what was going on around him, though still paying attention, just in case anything important was said. |
