Danny turned around with another one of his realistic, fake smiles. He couldn’t help but like this young man. He decided that calling him a boy didn’t do Evander any justice, and to Danny, justice was important. “I think most of the monsters live down here, but if we go topside into the actual town there shouldn’t be many of those heartless things around. I’ll be glad to show you the way out. I’m sorry I spilled out my emotional baggage to you. That wasn’t really fair either.” Danny fully turned around now and walked towards the young wizard. “For someone so young you sure are insightful. You got my vote for one hellavu cool kid. I wish I were half as good as you when I was your age. To tell you the truth, the first time I ever tried to use my abilities in a fight, I got this.” Danny rolled up his sleeve to reveal a scar that went all the way from his elbow to the back of his neck and across his shoulders. “Now if we just follow this passageway we should reach the first set of stairs that will lead us up into the next level. After that level one more set of stairs and we are out of harms way. Let’s go.” Danny started walking off and quickly turned to Evander. “Listen I’m sort of, um, out of friends right now. I…I guess what I’m trying to ask is, um…” He paused. “Friends?”

It's Pathetic, right? Posts: 2,297 Group: Members Member #104 Joined: Jul 29, 2008	Evander took Danny's hand in both of his and cupped the palm facing upwards with a grin. "You.. More than anyone are never far from the light.. Light is your power.. It's inside you. You control it.. mold it.." He moved his hand away to his chest. "It's not the same as the light thats in here.. I know.. But.." He planted his hands in his sides. "Why would someone consumed by darkness want friends..?" He smiled. "We're friends now. So if you're having trouble finding the light then I'll surround your darkness with my light! And eventually the light within with spark again and destroy the darkness..!" He clenched his fist sternly. "I won't loose sight of my light... And.. I won't let the darkness have you either! I'm the great wizard Evander Wood!" "Besides.." He said lightly. "Once we find the person those glasses belong to I'm sure they'll help you too! And some of your old friends from school! Soon I'm sure you'll find that light is all around you!"

The kid was sort of idyllic, but without a doubt he was still a cool kid. It was hard to find really good kids these days. Most of them just texted and didn’t really know how to communicate. Danny was glad to know that he had a friend, and it was funny that his name was so close to one of his other good friends. In fact it was the name of his friend that the glasses belong to, and he was sure of that. When Evander began to grab his hand and recite his little speech Danny almost started to cry again. It was sappy sure, but it was something that he needed to hear. There was something about this kid that brought the light inside of Danny out. So much so that he felt a great heat coming from where his breast pocket was. He didn’t really do anything about it until later. “Let’s get out of here. I have a feeling that some more of those heartless are going to show up.” He just wanted to get out of the area because he didn’t know exactly what this heat was that was coming from his heart. “Oh, and thanks for everything Evander. I’m glad that I ran into you down here. I don’t know what might have happened to me if I hadn’t.”

Posts: 2,297 Group: Members Member #104 Joined: Jul 29, 2008	Evander wasn't sure what Danny meant when he said that Evander had been important and that he didn't know where he'd be without Evander. He wasn't quite sure of this but hadn't Danny saved Evander? Either way it didn't matter much to the boy as they set off in their new direction towards the city of eternal night. He followed the dark grim spirited Danny from the darkness into the first district... And towards a place where he could make friends again. Hopefully!
