Serena most definitely wasn't the best at finding her way. She was on her way to the first district...she heard it was one of the only actual safe places in all the worlds and she still hasn't found a Preja to fuse with in these troubled times. Without a Preja, Serena was as helpless as...well a little schoolgirl to be honest. She was near the place, she knew it, but couldn't find exactly where to go. The signs here...kinda didn't make much sense. "Can this day get any worse...", Serena said as she took a seat on a bench. |

Desperately, walking at complete haste through the sideways of the seats. Heading in unknown direction that he himself didn't know where he would end up. He couldn't help but to wonder where he was going, but nothing else matter as long as he would hurry up and find his life partner. "MU!" A loud squeek from the voice of Sephiroth's faithful and reliable second half known as Zi. For someone who does nothing but sleep all day on his shoulder he seem to find himself standing on top of his head yelling for no reason or at least that what Sephiroth thought. "We don't have time right now Zi." Not caring about what Zi spotted as some girl look like she was making her way through the area as well. For the way she was dresses, as a schoolgirl? He didn't seem to think that it was normal for her to be here. Considering that all the trouble they had just went through in these parts of the area, and the random attacks from these darken monster. Really should this girl be walking alone? He didn't care, he continued to walk on not looking back at her as he passed, but Zi was insisting. Though honestly, Sephiroth had other things on his mind to worry about and that was basically the only thing he was setting his thoughts onto: "Getting Emmanuel back at all cost.". Dropping down to the ground, Zi ran over to this girl(Serena) and ran in front of her to seemingly become a bother. Sephiroth exhaled and started to get a little aggravated. "You're starting to piss me off!" |

Serena was jamming to some song on her IPhone and wasn't really paying attention to the surrounding area as usual. She was about to get up and bust a move like she normally would...till a small cute bunny thing came up to her. She quickly plucked the headphones from her ears and swooned. "O-M-G SO CUTE! You're not a heartless are you, you cute little guy?", She said before petting the cute little thing. Just then, Serena looked up to a pretty cute yet deadly looking dude walking up to her. She looked down at the bunny thing and realized that this thing must belong to the huge guy. "Hey, big guy, this bunny mouse cat thing belong to you?", Serena said with a gentle smile as if they WEREN'T in dancer for being in the second district. |

Nothing let out but another slight huff blowing hot air from his mouth as he stopped right next to them and stared at Zi with a frown on his face. "Haha.. bunny mouse cat. Even I'm not sure what 'he' is." He let out a small grin, but he didn't quite show much of a smile, at least not in the mood he was in. The only thing left on his mind was what and where he would go and do next. "No though, we really have to go though." Sephiroth lean over to get ready to grab Zi so he could pick him up and leave, but just as his hand got close, Zi hissed and growled. A slight drop in Sephiroth's eyebrows as he tilted his head at Zi not paying much attention to the girl who was standing right next to the both of them. "Did you just growl at me?" He held his head back for a second looking at him from a side angle. Trying to understand why he was doing this at a time like this. Zi jumped onto the girl or at least attempted to so he could climb to her shoulder. |

Serena smiled as she took the little guy, Zi, into her hands and led him up to her shoulder. She giggled a bit as his fur tickled her face a bit when the little guy sat down. She looked at the big guy and patted his chest a bit before she plugged a side of her IPhone into Zi's ear and the other in her own. "Seems the little guy wants to stay with me for a bit. Too bad for you, huh?", She said a bit sarcastically before sticking her tongue out playfully. Serena really was a carefree spirit and no matter how large and scary a person could look, she'd treat them the way she'd treat anyone else. The big guy needed to lighten up too...he seemed pretty tense and angry about something. "The universe is all upside-down but you still need to put a smile on big guy. Frowning and scowling will get you nowhere. Right Zi?", Serena said before reaching into her pocket to get a small mint candy. "The name's Serena by the way. Serena Maverick.", She said before handing the candy to Zi and extending her hand in introduction towards the man. |

He shook his head and turned around for a minute rubbing his chin. Thinking on what to do, since this was only slowing his process of his goal down by every second that goes by. Then he face back at her and blunt put it out. "No." Zi on the other hand didn't mind. Looks like the trap was set, as soon as she gave him that candy, Zi wasn't going to budge from that spot till either she runs out, stop giving him some more, or he would have his sugar fill. "Let's go little peepsqueek!" He grabbed Zi by the ears pulling him away, but just as he did that a quick loud scream came from his mount. "AAGGGHHH!!" Seems that he was bitten by his own pet, who didn't really much appreciate his behavior. This little guy never acted like this to his partner before, seems like this 'universe wasnt the only thing turn upside down.'. Everything about this didn't seem to go. "FINE! You can have him!" Sephiroth was already pissed by his disobedience, but then again when does Sephiroth ever force his authority over Zi so aggressively? The guy started to walk away, not knowing where he was heading, but just walking anyway. Possibly to the same direction he was going before, he made sure he wasn't going back the way he came. |

Serena looked on as the big guy had his little fit and stormed off. Not very grown up of him to do so but some people must be taking this change a bit harder then Serena and perhaps he had somewhere important to go to. She felt kind of bad about the whole "taking his friend" thing and decided to storm on after him. "Hey Zi, Let's go after daddy ok?", She said as she gave the little guy another candy and played some sweet "man chasing" music on her IPhone. "HEY BIG GUY! NOT SO FAST!!", Serena said, running after the guy before...well...a GIGANTIC Heartless portal opened up and well...a GIGANTIC heartless stormed out from the portal. Serena just looked up at the thing in awe. It was the BIGGEST heartless she's ever seen and boy did it look...heartless? It turned to her and Zi and she released a big sigh before waving to the big guy on the other side of the heartless. "Hey...um...Big guy. Should we make a run for it or..." |

He shook his head still walking away really fast to get away from them. Not thinking for a second to turn around and stop for them. "He can act funny all he wants, but I have someone to look for. At least he wont be lonely." The flare from his voice was coming out of his mouth like flames letting it be known how he felt about his actions. Suddenly, Sephiroth felt a slight chill run down his back. He felt this before, but wasn't sure where or when the last time he actually got tingle in his senses like this. It was something nearly new to him still, but it wasn't fresh. A shadow suddenly standing over him from behind, his only thoughts was either something big as fuck was standing behind him or this chick just grew a few feet.
Sephiroth turned around to find that he was looking at a big black thing with a red insigna on it's chest showing that it was somehow related to those black things that had took Emmanuel away from him before. "Shit get away!" He didn't want to have to go through this again, not to lose another one. At least with someone else Zi wouldn't have to deal with having to go into battle with Sephiroth against them when he finally runs into them again to get his friend back. But he surely didn't expect them to attack this more spontaneously and it looks like they're not going to be safe anywhere if these things so happens to appear anywhere they want. "Get out of here now!" Jumping in one leep, he flew up into the air and soared through the sky aiming to land on this beast head and pummel it with his fist if he had to. "Bitch, you're going to take to your leader and where you hold your captives!" |

Serena looked on the big guy flew into action. She looked on pretty relaxed for some odd reason and pulled out a small lollipop. Serena also gave Zi a small jollyrancher to suck on whilst she enjoyed her lollipop. She took a seat nearby and looked on as if it was a TV show or something. She was playing some kick ass music also to go with it. "Go Big Guy!", Serena said as she sat feet away instead of running like he asked her to do. Meanwhile, The large heartless sprang into action just as fast as Sephiroth did showing quickly that this heartless was not your everyday one. It's body deformed and split into many small tendrils, flying towards the Sephiroth, slicing all in it's path. "Oooo...Fancy.", Serena said looking on in awe. She had never seen a heartless fight the way this one and having seen three battles already, She kinda had a feeling this one was going to take more then just a cute face and large body to rid this world of this one. She decided to hop into action for the first time...but would the big guy accept her gift? "Zi, Wait here and I'm going to help your daddy, ok?", She said with a smile before leaving some candy on the bench for Zi to keep occupied with. Serena began her run over to where the big guy would land from his first assault, dodging a tendril or two as they sliced into the ground. She gave a little gulp and hoped she didn't run over here for nothing...the big guy was KINDA moody after all. She slid past two more tentacles and finally found her way over to him. "Hey big guy, I can help!", She said, as the heartless continued its onslaught of the surrounding area. |

"What the hell!" Sephiroth quickly threw both his arms into the way to defend, and was immediately smacked back to the ground from being swatted. He bite his lower lip on accident and cursed under his breath as he carefully looked around. Suddenly the appearance of this girl that he just told to run away is standing right here beside he was getting him agitated. "You don't know how to listen do you?!" He wasn't aknowledging what she was saying, it didn't register to him at all. Zi stood away from them on the other side in a safe distance while looking on. Looks like he was follow what she said, but didn't seem to understand a single word from Sephiroth's mouth. "I said get out of here!" He wasn't sure how she could help. COME ON... look at her... she's young, a girl.. and... to Sephiroth a little weird. But he forgot for a second where he came from, after all weird young girls was the thing at Hyakuji. Just a bunch of girls with special powers, and with crazy ambitions. Seriously, Sephiroth didn't want to deal with them anymore. Now was not the time. Then again he surely didn't take the time to duly note what her abilities could be... if she had any. SHARINGAN! His eyes burned red as they shot out and three commas appeared around the iris circling around it as if the entire pupil was spinning. Pulling out a bunch of Kunais he threw them at the beast from various location aiming at blind spots that were at the base of the tentacles hoping they wont be intercepted since they were going around the tentacles and not towards them. Not only that but each Kunai was attached to a strong metal base wire that there being held by Sephiroth's hand as he guide them? So it seems some how he had some control over them after throwing them using these wires and each one was at least in the path of a tentacle. "Just watch out for a second while I handle this." |

"Pssh...that's not going to work...", Serena said as the big guy throw some knives and his eyes changed color. If he was PAYING attention...which he wasn't cause he was an angry bugger, The creature could BURY itself in the ground when in it's tentacle form. It did indeed just that when the knives things got near it. Serena facepalmed at the lack of attention this guy was paying and how he was treating her. He acted like he was the only guy in all the world(s) that could use powers. She crossed her arms and awaited the monster to come back up from the many holes it entered from or new ones it was about to make. "Jeez, can you be anymore thick-headed? Just let me help. All I need you to do is turn to me and give me your hands. I'll do the rest and we can take care of this thing in seconds.", She said before punching the big lummox on the arm to get his attention. She actually couldn't believe she was going to use this guy as her Preja. He was a jerk...but hey, he was in this mess KINDA because of her. If she hadn't distractedd him and steal Zi away temporarily, He probably could have walked away before this thing appeared. It would be temporarily and it had been awhile since she had used a Preja before. "Will you listen to me? Or are you going to bitch and moan and try to kill this thing with your BARE MANLINESS! There must be way to much testosterone swimming around that big body of yours to think straight...", Serena said, holding out her hands with a peeved look on her face. He needed to decide quickly...The heartless was probably going to pop out of the ground any moment and probably slice the two into pieces. Serena just hoped she got through that thick head of his. |

"Shit." The Kunais all hit the ground as the thing bury itself into the ground. He couldn't believe this things could do so much, as if they all weren't the same or at least this one was no way any similarities to the others he seen or fought off other then their color and symbol. Ok, he was going to have to think of something as fast. The girl spoke some more, and Sephiroth tried to drown it out with some ideas....fast. He knew if this thing was trying to attack them it wasn't going to stay under there forever so he was going to have think before he runs out of time. POW! Right... this girl was starting to become to aggressive and physical. He rubbed his arm, for a weak little girl that really did do some hurting though.
"LISTEN HERE LITTLE GIRL! I'm not putting anyone at risk, I'm pretty sure if I follow this thing in it hole and fight it myself, I can beat it some way. But right now you're speaking as if you know what these things are and really, I'm not stupid to say you probably know more about this, but if I can't find on my own then there is no point of me fighting on to find my friend. He shook his head and turned back around towards where the last place the monster dig itself underneath and starting to create some various handle signs. If anyone knew what they were, Sephiroth was basically channeling his charka through his arms and into his hands to prepare for his Ninjutsu. As soon as his arm was engulf in flames, he immediate broke into a sprint running towards the closest hole he could get to. "AAAARRRGGGHHH!! FUCK!" He fell forward and landed on his needs, just as looked back he spotted little Zi hanging onto his jeans with his teeth being clenched into his leg and fat. "What the hell are you doing? I'm trying to get rid of this thing and you're stopping me? Why? What is up with you all today, you been acting retarded!" Zi: "Sephiroth...have you gone completely insane?" O_______O Sephiroth's eyes widen so large that the pain in his leg was blocked out but the sheer shock of what just suddenly happen. "D..d..d-did you just talk?!" Zi: "No time to explain. Seriously Sephiroth listen to this girl, if she dealt with them before, then there is truly a possibility can do something." "You can talk.." Zi: *sighs* Sephiroth stood back up only to shake his head, it looks like that thing was coming back up and he could feel it getting closer. Looks like it was do or die...literally. "Alright, but this better not have to put anyone in danger unless it just me." Zi: "You're only being paranoid cause you lost your heart once, not you're afraid of losing someone else... how caring." :3 "Ok. You can shut up and not talk now." Sephiroth grabbed Serena's hand. |

Serena smiled and gave the talking bunny thing a thumbs up before taking the big guys hands. As she closed her eyes, time stopped all around the two, almost leaving the two alone in the world. Serena recited what was necessary for her to bind with her Preja... "On this ethereal evening, I tell a story to you Reflecting behind my eyes lies truth I embrace you lovingly, I am together with you Out of this love, I forge a pact You and I will be together wherever we go My heart with yours...I forge this contract." As Serena finished her words, she turned into plumes of winds and enveloped Sephiroth, becoming one with him as the pact states. Sephiroth would not notice he is now much stronger, faster, aware of his surroundings, and more in-tune with his powers then ever before. Serena popped up behind and above him in an ethereal form with a "I told you so" look on her face. Only he would be able to see and hear her...feel her even. "So...Sephiroth is your name? Alright then Sephie...You are my Preja and I am your Guardian now. Let's show this shadow what a pact can do hmm?", Serena said with a gentle smile before dissipating back within Sephiroth. The Heartless finally came out from the ground in an attack aimed to devour Sephiroth where he stood. Serena couldn't help but smile...knowing all too well what was going to happen next. This was the best part after all. |

He suddenly jumped at the sight of Serena appeared behind him looking like a ghost. He almost shit himself.... sorta but not really. "What the hell!?" Shaking his head he stared around wondering what this was all about. What exactly did he get himself into? "What's a Preja?" Just before he could get an answer at that moment, the heartless attacked. Desperately he jumped off the ground and started to once again complete a series of hand signals to create his fire Ninjutsu again. He hesitated to finished waiting for a perfect time to finished this move. Zi on the other hand standing not far, but out of the way; started to run off in the opposite direction to get further out of harms distance. Finally a large ball formed in front of Sephiroth as he made sure to fully get control over it while aiming right for a center spot for the beast's body. |

"I'll explain later Sephie, for now...just trust me. This is going to be quick.", Serena answered when Seph asked his question. As the monster attacked, Serena focused her powers to begin aiding Sephiroth immediately making his movements even faster and more direct then usual. He would be able to feel the difference most definitely by now but what Serena was going to do next would prove she was an asset to any warrior. "Here we go...", she said, amplifying his jutsu two fold, increasing it's size and density before forcing the blast from his hands and into the center of the Heartless. As the jutsu hit the monster, it exploded into a thousand little heartless pieces and dissipated into nothingness shortly after. Serena once again reappeared behind Sephiroth, smiling from cheek to cheek. "Told you I could help..." |
