As such, I thought this would be something fun to try out and at least see how it goes. Everyone probably knows what a book/reading club is but just in case... Basically, those of us joining in for this will all read the same story and then discuss it. Why? FOR THE SAKE OF OUR MENTAL PROWESS!!!! No, but seriously it's just meant to be fun. So this thread is for opting in to join and the other technical aspects. What I've decided is that I'll start us with the initial story and from there we'll randomly take turns till everybody has chosen once then we'll repeat. So on and so forth. I'm not sure if we'll make the discussion thread based or just meet in IRC or something then post the chat afterwards, but we can tackle that when it comes. ===== The Rules are simple: -Don't join if you don't intend to actually read and discuss. -Ample time will be given to read even regardless of having jobs/class work/etc. -For selecting stories shy towards short stories or novellas for now, something we can all easily get through. Maybe in the future we can move up and work through a novel a few chapters each session. -For the Discussion, people are free to disagree about something and even debate the point. But if it turns into a baseless argument or flames then you'll get muted or silenced from the remained of the discussion. -Post here to discuss this idea and voice if you'd like to join.
