The Operations Room![]() Firstly, go to the Operations Room menu by pressing the Square button while on the Mission Select screen, which will lead you here. Pressing the highlighted button will take you to the next menu. These sub-menus will be your lifeline to upgrades, roster changes and other info, so don't neglect them! ![]() Group This is where you can organise your squad's rosters, pilots and units, as well as change things such as your battleship crew or OP parts. ![]() Unit Here you can upgrade, combine and trade in any mobile suits you currently own. ![]() Character Wanna spend some Ace Points? Maybe shuffle around your line-up a bit or get to know the crew? This is the place for you! ![]() Capture This is where all units captured in battle go, where they can either be added to your hangar or sold for scrap. ![]() List Finally, there's List, which crams all of these into one gigantic submenu where you can chop and change everything about your squad. Buying New Units And Pilots Your old Zaku just not cutting it anymore? Want a little more bang for your buck? Maybe a certain pilot's caught your eye? Then, you may want to visit the unit/pilot store! ![]() This menu will be your best friend, and the button highlighted will lead you to the promised land of upgrades and sparkly new loot. Click it. ![]() Clicking a free unit slot will bring up two choices: use a unit you currently own (laaaaame)....or buy a brand spankin' new machine (HELL YEAH!). Click the highlighted option. ![]() Which will bring up the new unit menu in all its glory, where you can waste all of your credits to get some more firepower. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to see a man about an Exia. ![]() "But wait," you may say, "that won't pilot itself!" Exactly, good sir/madam, which is why we're going to buy a pilot! By clicking on an empty pilot slot, we get the except same prompt as with the units. Click the highlighted option. ![]() Isn't he adorable? Let's take him home and put him in Exia! Upgrades And Development Tired of the same old song and dance when it comes to combat? Why not turn your crappy old GMs and Balls into top-of-the-line Gundams or combine them into some kind of superweapon? First things first, go into the Unit menu. You'll be greeted by three menus. ![]() Combine Here you can put together two suits to unlock a different unit for purchase. ![]() Note: You will NOT lose the combined suits, I cannot stress this enough. ![]() Upgrade This is where you can upgrade units once they reach a certain level of experience, vastly changing their abilities, appearance and stats. ![]() Now THAT'S more like it! ![]() Exchange Here you can upgrade a mobile suit by using credits AND experience, which can be quite costly, but nets you some pretty aweso- ![]() IS THAT A FREAKIN' BIG ZAM!? Oh, but don't forget the pilots, they need love too! ![]() ![]() This screen is where you can spend the Ace Points that you earn after every kill and at the end of every battle to increase your pilots' stats and special abilities. ![]() Placing points into a stat/ability doesn't do anything in itself, but once the bars are filled, the stat/ability will increase. The stats and abilities (in Setsuna's example given here) are: Ranged Melee Reaction (Accuracy + Dodge) Defense Awakening (Newtype stat) Charisma Gundam Meister - When piloting a Gundam-type, Accuracy and Evasion +10%. Unsheathed Sword - Melee value up. ![]() By pressing L1/R1, you can switch to the next available crew member to spend their points without having to navigate those pesky menus. Scrap Collection And You (Unit Capture) After several battles, you've no doubt captured several abandoned enemy suits and now have no idea where the hell they've gone (and if not, there'll be a guide later on to capturing 'em all). Well, wonder no more ! First things first, go to the Capture menu. There, you'll see a list of all the units you've captured during your travels. After selecting a suit, you'll be given four options. ![]() Places the unit in your hangar for use. ![]() Sells the unit for an instant credit boost. ![]() Places all captured units in your hangar. ![]() Sells all the units for a larger credit boost.
